After a long time of not having updates here, I can finally show you what I have been working on last 2 years (more projects coming).
Here are the environment artworks I made for Destry All Humans 2 Solaris map (Moon). My responsibilities were creating rocks, cliffs, surface materials, and decals. I have also made big cliffs for dressing 35 meters tall.
For big objects, I have used custom shaders with material layers to get good texel density and variety. with 2 UV channels, I have unwrapped models in a way that there are no visible seams on cliffs and big rocks.
Tillable textures and decals were made entirely in Substance designer. This way I could quickly iterate the process and check the look in the Unreal Engine on the terrain. I have enjoyed the process of doing this!
Presentation renders were made in Unreal Engine 5.
